CDOT TRAVEL ADVISORY - RAMP CLOSURES IN IDAHO SPRINGS THURS. OCT 29

Please be advised that the following ramp closures will be in place on Thursday, October 29, 2020. These closures are necessary for the completion of various construction activities so the new Westbound I-70 Mountain Express Lane can be finished and open by the end of the year.

The westbound I-70 off ramp at Exit 241 (Colorado Blvd) will be closed intermittently from 5 p.m. on Thurs. Oct. 29 to 9 a.m. on Fri. Oct. 30 for lane shift layout. This closure will not run concurrent with the closure of the 241 on ramp. The following detour route is recommended:

  • Take Exit 240 (CO 103/Mt. Evans), head north to Colorado Blvd, then east.

The Exit 241 (Colorado Blvd) on ramp to westbound I-70 will be closed intermittently from 8 p.m. on Thurs. Oct. 29 till 9 a.m. on Fri. Oct. 30 while crews perform layout for a new lane shift. This closure will not run concurrent with the closure of the 241 off ramp. The following detour route is recommended:

  • To access westbound I-70, drive west on Colorado Blvd to the Exit 240 (CO 103/Mt. Evans) on ramp.

The westbound I-70 off ramp at Exit 239 (Idaho Springs) will be closed from 5 p.m. on Thurs. Oct. 29 till 9 a.m. on Fri. Oct 30 while crews pave the shoulder. The following detour route is recommended:

  • Take Exit 240 (CO 103/Mt. Evans) then drive north to Colorado Blvd and head west.
